My name’s Deb Burns and I became so stressed out that I landed myself in hospital. Stress and anxiety can do that to you if you let it!

I was hospitalised in my mid-thirties as well, and diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder. I spent the following ten years curing myself of that and I thought I was fine.

I thought I knew how to manage stress but I was missing a vital piece of the stress puzzle.

I didn’t understand how to properly meet my needs and I didn’t realise how serious that can be.

I was a mess. I was in tears at the drop of a hat, I couldn’t sleep, I was drinking too much and I ended up in hospital with a psychotic break.

How could this have happened to me?

I had a good job, I’d overcome bi-polar disorder fifteen years earlier! And….I was married to a very successful counsellor who treated people like me every day!

I was also trained in Choice Theory but I thought it was all too simplistic and it couldn’t possibly apply to me because I was just too unwell.

But it did…and as I actively started applying the principles, guided by Jeff, I started to get better, faster than I ever thought possible.

Jeff has over thirty years experience in supporting people to deal more effectively with stress and anxiety. He has supported teachers, students, parents, employees and business owners.
